IS JESUS INVITED?
MAIN TEXT: John 2:7
Jesus said unto them, fill the water pots with water and they filled up to the brim.
I Samuel 30:8. And David enquired at the Lord, saying shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Thou shall surely overtake them and without fall recover all.
Today’s topic is a question to every one of us which requires meditation. Is Jesus invited? The bible says that in Cana of Galilee, Jesus and his disciples were invited to a marriage ceremony. At the middle of the marriage, the wine finished, Jesus intervened by turning water into wine. Did you invite Jesus in your marriage to take over and pilot it? Is Jesus in your business? Sometimes people experience difficulties in what they are doing, because Jesus is not in it. Did you have any revelation or divine direction that shows that God is the initiator of what you are doing? Did you pray before submitting your application? Did God approve it?
If you have not been involving him in your daily activities, it is not late. You can start early this year. God is your creator and he knows what you are capable of doing. The bible says in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before you were born, he knows you and even ordained you as a prophet from your mother’s womb”. Let us learn how to please God and ourselves, by involving him in all that we are doing, allow him to control your affairs. A life without God is miserable, meaningless and has no future. Brethren check if God is your Master.
