FOLLOW GOD PASSIONATELY
MAIN TEXT: LUKE 9:23.
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”.
Philippians 3:12. “Not that I have already obtained or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own
To truly follow God means to follow His word, to obey His word and to do His word-James 1:22. Following God passionately means submitting to the Lordship of Christ until He becomes everything to you.
The fullness of the Father is embodied and revealed through Christ. Every decision and dreams must be filtered through His word with the goal of glorifying God as a true and passionate follower of God.
You must go hard after God in order to know more of Him. Philippians 3:7-8. Knowing God is value that surpasses everything else.
When we go hard after God to know him the reward is always joy and fulfilment. We must go after God passionately because we are so imperfect”.
A failing student should pursue a special tutor. Near sighted people should pursue an optometrist. People with strep throat should take antibiotics. Young apprentices should follow their master at his work.
As believers it is our place to seek for God who is so willing to be found. Follow God. One other reason why we must go hard after God is that he has loved us and, indeed, has made us His own by faith.
WELL, WHATEVER YOU DO, WHETHER YOU EAT OR DRINK, DO IT ALL FOR GOD’S GLORY.
PRAYER: In Jesus name, give me a heart that wants nothing but you alone all the days of my life.
