HE DOES NOT SLUMBER NOR SLEEP
MAIN TEXT – MARK 4:39 – Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, ‘be quiet and he said to the wave, Be still. The wind died down and there was great calm.
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1. This implies that God is the general overseer of everything he created. In 2 Chron 16:9, the bible says that the Lord’s eyes run to and fro throughout the whole world to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him. There is nothing that had happened or will happen or is happening without God’s knowledge. He is omniscient. God called and told Moses that he had seen the suffering and cry of the Israelites in Egypt and had come down in His mighty power to deliver them out of Egypt and to establish them in the land of Canaan, Exodus 3:7-8.
God revealed Achan to the Israelites who confessed to have stolen the forbidden articles and hid them in the ground of his tent and thereby caused his death with all his household by stoning – Joshua 7:20-21. Brethren, our God is omnipresent and therefore sees what each person on this earth is doing and thinking at the same time even now. What a mighty and wonderful God we have and serve.
