OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY

Main Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, all things have become new.

Romans 8:14
Far as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

This is what takes place at salvation, when we genuinely repent from our sins and forsake them, then the spirit of Christ enters into us and regenerates our spirit man which is the real you and me, this spirit that is now in us will begin to hate the carnal things and glorify the things of God.

In our main text we read that if a man be in Christ, he is a new creature, “old things are passed away” beloved all things have become new, what then are the old things? These are sinful nature and they are things that belongs to somebody called “the old man” that is the old nature of man. In Galatians 5:19-21, Apostle Paul called them works of the flesh.

Before we receive Christ, the old man was in us as king; he occupied the whole of our hearts and minds and exercised total control over us. But the day we received Christ, things change and the change is that Jesus the new man has now come into our life.

THE ENTRANCE OF JESUS CHRIST INTO OUR LIVES BRINGS POSITIVE CHANGES.

Prayer: Father Lord please help me to get rid of nature of the old man in my life in Jesus name.
