STREAMS IN THE DESERT
MAIN TEXT: ISAIAH 41:18
I will make rivers flow on barren heights and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. (NIV)
2 CORINTHIANS 12:9
And he said to me,” My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will ratter rust Him boast on my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (NKJV)
A desert is a barren area of landscape where little water vapour occurs which makes living conditions for plants and animals hostile. Man sinned and the world became a desert. Sin or trials from God can bring about desert experience where you experience challenges, trials, obstacles and dryness. Life can enjoy fertility in Jesus Christ, so the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life brings water and streams to water the deserts in your life and make it to blossom.
Challenges, trials and obstacles make us know God better, trust Him more and draw from him the measure of grace that these difficulties have made us have from God. Obstacles and challenges are God’s to faith. When we are faced with them, we should see them as vessels for faith to fulfill with the fullness and all sufficiency of and we must move forward simply trusting him fully. Depend on God’s presence with you as your God even in the worse times, he is sufficient for you.
Dearly Beloved, today’s devotional topic is meant to silence your fears and encourage the faith in you as a servant or child of God in your distress. Therefore, while being tested, you MUST wait and let patience do her perfect work and at last the stone MUST be rolled away.
WITH JESUS ALL DESERTS TURN TO FLORISHING GROUNDS
PRAYER: Oh Lord Jesus, roll away every desert experience in my life and make me flourish like a palm tree.
