SACRIFICE IS PROFITABLE 2

SACRIFICE IS PROFITABLE 2

MAIN TEXT – 2 SAMUEL 24:24 – And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will verily buy it of thee at a price. Neither will I offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah my God which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

PSALM 50:14 – Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and pay your vows to the Most High.

God sees our heart when we are giving to Him. Our motive is what matters to God. Don’t give because others are giving. Give because you have a longing to give. Every sacrifice has a price. God does not neglect a sacrifice that is with a good motive.

The Bible and life tells us that sacrifice will always bring some type of profit. When we think about profit, usually we think about money, but it can be anything. Don’t be that person with big dreams who says, ‘ I’m going to do this and that, but doesn’t’. Don’t be that person who wants the results of labour without sweating. Don’t be like that person who doesn’t want to sacrifice but wants to reap. If you can sacrifice your time, wealth and yourself to God, He will enrich you. Abraham sacrificed his only child Isaac after many years of barrenness; God saw his heart and blessed him (Genesis 22:1-17).

Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness because your level of sacrifice directly determines your level of success. If you are not willing to sacrifice your pride, comforts, you will never profit anything in life. Achieving massive success requires countless leaps out of your comfort zone. The individual who claims to be weak and so can’t go out to find something doing, yet spends most of his free time on TV, partying and sleeping has only himself to blame.

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO GET TO A CERTAIN LEVEL IN LIFE, YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE EXTRA ORDINARY SACRIFICES TO GET THERE

Prayer – In Jesus name, O Lord I renew my covenant of sacrifice on your altar today so help me God.
