Never Lose your joy
Main text: Nehemiah 8:10 … “Do not grieve for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Proverbs 17:22- A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
The world is full of joy stealers. Behind them all is a miserable devil whose only delight is to “steal, kill and destroy.” It is a rare thing to meet someone whose mission is to bring the joy of Jesus into other lives. Joy is rooted in personal faith in God. Each of us must believe the Lord for ourselves and in so doing, discover the joy that only He can bring.
No matter what comes against you, be of good cheer. Never lose your joy. God is on your side, He has said that He will never leave you nor forsake you. In Mark 6:50, Jesus came walking on the water and said to the disciples who were in their ship toiling, “Be of good cheer!”. Never lose your joy if you lose your joy, your strength would weaken. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Keep your joy.
Joy does not come from happiness. Joy comes from what you know and who you know. It comes from the word and promises of God which are known to you. Is not when you build a house, buy a car or get a surprising gift from people. What you express when these happens is “Happiness”. and happiness flunctutates but Joy is constant. Joy is not based on an event, it comes from within.
As Christians, we face so many trials, challenges, crisis, different situations that we feel like God has abandoned us. We find ourselves losing out from the joy we have. Today, God is saying to us, ‘Never lose your joy’.
We live in a world with plenty of problems to fill our hearts and mind. Infant, God has plans by which we can have joy and control of our thoughts regardless of the circumstances we face. We have to maintain our joy despite what happens around us by praying consistently and hoping on God
NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY, NEVER LOSE YOUR JOY
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to find joy despite my circumstances and how I feel. Give me a joyful testimony.
