NO FRIEND LIKE JESUS

NO FRIEND LIKE JESUS

Main Text: Mark 8:1 – I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat.

Mark 8:2 – And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way for divers of them came from afar.

A friend is someone who supports you. The dictionary defines friend as a person who you know well and regard with affection and trust. These days’ true friends are hard to come by.

They betray one another; put others down only to take their position. But I rejoice that Jesus, the Friend Who Sticks Closer than a Brother, far exceeds those descriptions of “friend.” I praise Him that He is Almighty God, with all power and love to minister as the Friend of all friends.

I praise Him that He will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him, and that nothing can separate us from His love. Hallelujah! He is completely faithful. He knows all about our struggles and will guides us till the danger is past. He is the friend worth having.

When Jesus saw the faces of the multitude that were following Him for days, He had compassion on them not to send them away hungry. He ensured that food was supplied so that they will not faint on the way. This goes to show that when you follow Him steadfastly, He cannot leave you to wallow in your needs. When you seek God continuously, He blesses you remarkably. He is the great provider who provides our needs and takes away shame from us. He is the best friend to have. He leads you through uncertainties and guides you through the rough edges of life.

If Jesus is not yet your best friend, make Him one today. He is always standing by to bear you up when you fall.

WHEN YOU FOLLOW HIM STEADFASTLY, HE WILL PROVIDE ALL YOUR NEEDS.

Prayer Point: Jesus, I ask that you be my friend. I hand over the affairs of my life to you from today, In Jesus name.
