PRAYER MOVES MOUNTAINS
MAIN TEXT – Mark 11:23 ‘’I tell you the truth, if any man says to this mountain, ‘’Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.’’
Numbers 14:28 – ‘’So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to them the very things I hear you say.’’
Prayer is the medium through which we commune with God and relay our burdens to him. Life-threatening issues are taken care of through prayer. Not just any prayer but, the prayer prayed in faith – believing in and trusting God’s word. Now, Jesus did not relocate any physical mountain during His ministry. So, what was He talking about? The problems we face in life! Notice something important; Jesus spoke only once about our need for faith, and three times about our need to speak His word.
If you do not have enough faith to move your mouth and speak God’s word, you won’t have enough faith to move your mountain. Something wonderful happens when we verbalize God’s word. Your ears hear it, your mind is renewed, your focus is changed and the only thing God responds to – faith rises within you, and when you hold that position of faith, refuse to budge and keep speaking God’s word, the issue in your life will start shifting.
Bear in mind that, as long as you keep saying what you think and feel in your natural mind, the mountain will continue standing like an immovable object. But, when you stand on God’s promises and declare, ‘I may not know how or when, but I know you mountain is coming down in the name of Jesus.’’ Your mountain will move.
‘’FAITH IS THE FORCE THAT MOVES YOUR MOUNTAIN’’
PRAYER: I decree, let every problem waiting to hear my cry crumble and fall down now, in Jesus name’. Amen
