FOLLOW GOD STRONGLY

MAIN TEXT: Deuteronomy 6:5 ‘’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’’

1 Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.’’

To follow God strongly means to be firmly and steadfastly committed to Him all the time. Pressure abound in our time. And they pull at our faith in God, if we are not careful, we will be pulled down. What you require is spiritual strength. That enabling attitude to hold still in the face of challenges. With God, there is no room for mediocrity. You are either for him or you are not. Do not stop serving God because your house rent expired, or there is no food, or you lost your job.

To follow God strongly is a decision to continue trusting him, no matter what happens. It means believing and allowing His word rule our lives; understanding God’s will and living by it, allows his expectations and desires to be worked out in our lives. Knowing his mind is paramount if we must follow well. To follow suggests an onward movement; it indicates the presence of another.

Therefore, when you follow God, you are making an onward movement towards the fulfillment of your destiny. As you follow God, you must encounter challenges of all sorts, but, it is your faith that helps you scale through them. Remember, God never promised us a journey without pains. He said ‘in the world you will have troubles but in me you have peace.’’ So, when challenges come, hold unto God. He is ever faithful, dependable, and reliable. He knows our need of Him. You can count on Him.

IF YOU DENY JESUS BEFORE MEN, HE WILL DENY YOU BEFORE HIS FATHER

Prayer: In Jesus name, I confess that I shall continue to follow Christ, regardless of what comes my way.
