GLORY IN THE CROSS 2

MAIN TEXT: John -3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16—For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

No cross, no crown; No cross, no victory. Until you bear the cross, you cannot bear the mark. We were crucified with Christ, we died with Him, and we were risen with Him. The cross is a place of burden, lifting and healing. When the Israelites were dying like fowls in the wilderness, God asked Moses to make a cross and a brazen serpent, He commanded them to look at the cross not to look at the disease. Immediately they looked up to the cross, they were made whole.

So as many that will look up to the cross that Jesus died upon, shall also be saved and delivered. The cross of Jesus in our age today is His mercy throne and a public proclamation of Jesus’ kingly authority over all. The cross gives us the hope and assurance of the salvation of man. The power of death is broken at the cross.

For our offenses and penalties, Jesus Christ was delivered to the rulers of the world, He stood in the dock and was judged on our behalf, crucified and raised from the dead for our justification. The cross is the basic for our salvation. Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the prince of this world be cast out – John 12:31

LOOK AND LIVE, LOOK TO JESUS CHRIST AND LIVE FOREVER

PRAYER: I bring my troubles to the cross of Jesus Christ, O Lord I cast my burdens, give me peace and joy today in Jesus name Amen
