GOD ALWAYS INTERVENES IN OUR AFFAIRS
Main Text: ISAIAH 62:1 – For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
Psalm 105:15
“Do not touch my anointed, do my prophets no harm”
God intervenes regularly in the affairs of His people without their knowledge. For example, in the book of Numbers the Isrealites while travelling through the wilderness came within sight of Balaak, king of Moab. Terrified of their military prowess and vast population, Balaak engaged a seer named Balaam to place a curse on the unsuspecting Israelites (Numbers 22:2-6).
But something amazing happened. Whenever Balaam opened his mouth to curse, a blessing issued instead “I have received a command to bless, he has blessed and I cannot change it” he declared. “No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The Lord Their God is with them God brought them out of Egypt (Num 23:20-22).
Whether we see it or not, God still watches over his people today. He always keeps His promise not to abandon us. May we always worship in gratitude and awe the One who calls us blessed. We should often stop and consider the daily regular protection, God extends over us from unseen dangers.
